Homeownership for Individuals with Disabilities Program
The department's Homeownership for Individuals with Disabilities Program provides affordable home loan options for families in which:
- One of the borrowers is disabled OR
- One of the borrowers has a child who is disabled (regardless of the age of the child) who resides with one of the borrowers and is cared for principally by one of the borrowers OR
- One of the borrowers is a guardian for an immediate family member who is disabled
Department-Owned Properties
The Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development owns single family properties that may be purchased by homebuyers, non-profit organizations and public housing authorities.
