Public Notice: Funding Opportunity: State of Maryland Recovery Housing Program
The Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD) announces a funding opportunity through the State of Maryland Recovery Housing Program.
DHCD has received a special allocation of Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds to support transitional housing for individuals transitioning from substance use treatment who continue to need supportive services.
Funding will be made available to county governments, including Baltimore City, for the acquisition and renovation of buildings that will provide housing for women with children who will accompany them or who are seeking reunification with their children.

- Time: 10:00 a.m.
The workshop will provide information about the funding opportunity, application process, program policies and procedures, and submission requirements. The workshop will be recorded and available upon request.
Who should participate?
- Elected officials or staff representing Maryland county governments, including Baltimore City.
- Nonprofit organizations whose mission includes recovery from substance use and that have a county government sponsor.

Applications must be submitted no later than November 1, 2026, at 5:00 p.m.
The application, program policies and procedures, and submission instructions will be provided on the day of the application workshop and will also be available on DHCD’s website.
