Under state law, landlords who plan to sell a property with 3 or fewer residential rental units must provide the current tenant(s) the first opportunity to make an offer to purchase the property.

Landlords can use the
Right of First Refusal Portal to fill out and print the forms you are required by law to send to your tenant(s). Forms submitted through this portal do not need to be submitted to OTLA by mail or email. We are currently developing a Property Owner Portal Instructions Guide to assist portal users.

housing counseling programs for information that can assist you in the homebuying process.
