​​​The Office of Community Engagement supports the mission and vision of the Department of Housing and Community Development by promoting the department’s housing programs and initiatives, including the Department's foreclosure prevention initiatives for low and moderate-income Maryland residents.

Community Engagement efforts include speaking engagements, workshops, presentations; exhibitor opportunities and distribution of ​the department's marketing collateral.

The unit works with both internal and external partners to advance homeownership opportunities within Maryland and to sustain homeownership by broadening the reach and increasing awareness of the department’s portfolio of products and services, to enhance the images of both the unit and the department through educational efforts, community outreach and awareness building.
